My Review of Ste. Anne’s Spa
My Review of Ste. Anne’s Spa:
My husband and I recently celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary at Ste. Anne’s Spa. We went for the day and immediately felt transformed the moment we walked through the doors. We were greeted in a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff who provided our itinerary for the day and gave us a tour of the beautiful facilities.
We’ve been to a number of spas over the years and I have to say, this was by far, my favourite experience.
We decided to use the facilities prior to our treatments. We both went for a eucalyptus steam and then relaxed in the grotto. It was such a beautiful experience (it was also raining when we were there – which added to the romantic vibe). We took turns going in the plunge pool (which was freezing cold) and swam in the lap pool. It really was a fantastic pre-treatment experience. We decided to take advantage of the side-by-side massage chairs and they were amazing. We almost lost track of time. 🙂
We then headed over for our 3 course lunch and let me tell you, it was a real foodie delight. We both enjoyed some incredible teas direct from Ste. Anne’s own collection and we feasted on delicacies including Mediterranean dips, fish of the day and the Asian noodle bowl. The staff was incredibly accommodating and wanted us to have a fantastic lunch (they did this by recommending various foods and by bringing different dishes for us to try). It was truly a phenomenal food experience.
In terms of treatments, we began with the Ste. Anne’s Signature Facial http://www.steannes.com/ste-annes-signature-facial.html – my skin was evaluated by the spa therapist and she began with a deep cleansing treatment including exfoliation. This was followed by a cooling mask and massage. I felt very relaxed and refreshed when the facial was complete. I saw my skin was visibly brighter and hydrated.
We then went on to experience the Foot Therapy Treatment http://www.steannes.com/foot-therapy-treatment.html and I have to say this was my first time lying down for a foot treatment and it was heavenly! The spa therapist began with a foot soak and massage which was then followed by nail cutting/shaping, cuticle treatment and exfoliation. I really loved this treatment. I loved it so much, I didn’t want to leave :-).
After our treatments, we went for afternoon tea and it was also fantastic. Delectable treats including scones, assorted vegetables, mini sandwiches and so much more was presented with such flair that it made the experience that much more enjoyable. The way I explained the food to a friend was that it’s so beautiful you don’t want to ruin it by eating it, but once you do, you felt as though you were transported to a new world.
On our way home, we stopped at Ste. Anne’s Bakery and I picked up a bag of granola. I tried it in the spa and knew I had to have more! They also had a whole array of various food items and desserts for sale.
I really loved our experience at the spa. I loved it so much that I plan on returning and this time for an overnight stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Ste. Anne’s Spa!!
